My friend was divorced at least 10 years ago, she still has one outstanding issue over an insurance policy with her ex and has applied to the court for him to surrender it.
Now, she has received a Notice of Commencement of Bill of Costs - dated 2002, following an order D252 - dated 2001 saying she was to pay £12,147 costs. He has sent this personally and not through a solicitor.
She later became a bankrupt by the way.
Can he do this after all this time?
