How do I find out the final value of somebodies estate?

My daughters are beneficiaries in their Grandads estate and I believe they have not recieved what they were bequeathed.

You buy a copy of his will from the Probate Office - though it will give the value at the date of death, not the final value.
The Grant of Probate is a public document and you can get a copy of it from the District Probate Office where the probate application was made. The grant document itself shows the gross and net amounts left by the estate. The will forms part of the document and a copy is attached to the grant.
The Will will show any specific made, if they are written as fixed sums into the will. However if beneficiaries were left a proportion of the estate (rather than a fixed sum) it will be impossible to assess the exact amount due by reference to these documents - the Executor(s) should be approached for a statement of the break-up of the Residuary Estate.
I hadn't seen your earlier question when writing the above answer. That's the trouble with writing multiple questions - it is better to attach further questions to your original question.
