broadband provider problem
when my 18 month contract with orange broadband ran out i rang them and cancelled it to move to a different provider and i cancelled the direct debit, orange were fine with this and they were very helpful at the time . about 2 months later(FEBUARY) i received a letter from them saying i had stopped paying for my broadband so they were cancelling it and i owed them £36 i rang them straight away and explained i personally cancelled the broadband 2 months ago but they were adamant i owed them this extra 2 months rental, today i received a letter from a debt recovery company telling me to pay or else! surely i dont have to pay this if i feel its their mistake and setting the debt recovery people on me after 1 letter from them and 1 phone call is a bit hasty isnt it? does anyone know where i stand with this or what i should do
many thanks mark

Have you asked them how they arrived at the charge?
Good luck- it's very frustrating and expensive sorting these things out with call centres
