This may sound trivial but sometimes trivialities can start wars. In the next few weeks I will be having some work done at the front of my terraced house involving the digging out of the small frontal area and laying block paving( spelling?), I informed my next door neighbour that this would involve a skip for a short period and that because of the nature of the job there could be some stone cutting involved which could create abrasive dust and I suggested that she may like to move her car a little further down the street but her retort was " it's at my front door and if it's dirty you will have to clean it".I know this is silly but as I said earlier these silly things can create monsters.Think about your neighbours and give me some answers.S.O.G.

I view this kind of thing as give and take. Everyone has builders, gasmen etcet in at some point, there are deliveries to take in when neighbour isn't at home and vice versa, parties, late and early noise for various reasons .
We don't get umpty with our neighbours when we are inconvenienced and they don't get umpty with us.
Glad I don't live next to Joko !!!
Go for it Sad Old Git, more power to your elbow.
