How To Legally Disown My Family
33 Answers
For years I have taken verbal abuse from my brothers and sister. They have looked down on me as unlike them I never owned my own house or made pots of money. I kept my mouth shut for the sake of my mother. Now that she has died I would legally like to be disowned from them. Is there a way I can do that.

do what i did...moved and never spoke to them again. i've now had 15 years of peace and quiet and don't give a hoot what they are up to. and it didn't cost me a penny...as you are an adult, i feel it would be childish to legally disown them (and i'm not even sure you can!) just tell them all to fuff off....x

helen...'tis better to call a spade what it is and if people really get on your wick, you don't have to talk to them, do you? if you ignore them for long enough, they soon get the message. i had to laugh at my brothers wedding last year when my aunty (who i loathe) asked me for my phone number. i just looked at her and said 'and why would i want to talk to you?'...she got the message x
