ABH victim, offender pleading not guilty

hi i was assaulted by an ex friend of mine, i have lost my front teeth and was headbutted punched and also kicked whilst on the floor, when he was arrested he admitted that he hit me and i didnt hit back, im a 33 year old man with a wife and 4 year old daughter, hes 19 and may have previous, i have no convictions. this happened in jan were now in april its been to court 3 times the charge is now abh and he had pleaded not guilty. im now waiting for the trial date. can any 1 help me or give me some advise as ive never been in this situation before......

he may be pleading not guilty now but the day of the trial if you turn up to give evidence his brief will have explained to him that he should admit he is guilty to avoid a heavier sentence

i so hope your both right, the worst thing about all this he lives in the same village as me and so does his family, they have been telling all sorts of lies about what happened and about me., i just want this over now, its bad enough loosing both my top front teeth and going with out any for 3 months

its been ejurned 3 times because cps was getting medical evidence, it started off as common assault then assault by beating and now because i lost my teeth its abh
