GBH Section 20 with intent or section 18

What is the difference? I thought ghb section 18 meant that you intended to cause GBH, then why is there a GBH section 20 with intent?

Eddie at the top of my summons which I read over last night it states that I am being charged with GBH Section 20 with intent! No weapon was used at the victim was struck once, could this be a typo on the summons?

The charge is correct. Sec 18 is where GBH was intended. Sec 20 Wounding is where serious injury (GBH) sustained and HARM was intended hence the wording on your summons.
