I have caused amusement on FB by telling my son if he eats too much he will be 'like the side of a house' haha but one of his mates thought it was genius - thing is I thought that was the correct saying and it's obviously 'size of a house' - which sayings do you get wrong?

Lots of people say they're spitting feathers (extremely thirsty) when they mean they're spitting blood (extremely angry)...
A common one is "swinging the leg" rather than "swinging the lead", although some sources say it did start off as "...leg".
It was only a minor mistake, pips1- there was no need to post it in Criminal!
I know someone who is so prone to saying these things that he has his own Facebook fanclub where people post what are known as 'Barryisms'. The one I laughed at most was after a near miss in his car he told people he was 'white as a goat' :)

haha what am I like? I'm in criminal, wondered where my post had gone. I was in here looking for that thread about abuse of a sheep which seems to have vanished!
Yes - the sheep thread's gone. You can always find your own threads by clicking on your avatar (if like me, you sometimes find you've put them in the wrong topic!)
