*Economy update*....Britain has one of the fastest-growing GDP in the G7 .Thanks to Rachel Reeves. Business investment is also expected to continue to expand  throughout the year, contributing to the economy uplift with real personal disposable income forecast to grow by 19% this year followed by an even bigger increase in 2026.  Well done Labour ...Now things really are starting to get better...Whoo woo 🤣.

Rubbi8sh, prove it.

personal disposable income forecast to grow by 19% this year

Are you mad?

This is an example of where an ability to copy and paste or post a link would be far better than retyping (with typos) whole chunks. The 19% figure should say 1.9%.

https://www.gbnews.com/money/economy-uk-gdp-fast-growing-reeves-budget#:~:text=Business%20investment%20is%20also%20expected,per%20cent%20increase%20in%202026.

According to the latest I read we're heading for recession.

And don't try to paraphrase if your comprehension skills are not great.

The article said "with real personal disposable income is forecast to grow by 1.9 per cent in 2025, followed by a further one per cent increase in 2026"

It did not say what gulliver claims which was "with real personal disposable income forecast to grow by 19% this year followed by an even bigger increase in 2026".

One per cent is NOT a lot bigger (it's a lot smaller!) than a 19% (or 1.9%).

 🤣

Was probably the most accurate bit of the post.

Calm down you load of True Blue Answer Bankers. The odd typo happens now and again.Even to the great and the good.

Even allowing for the typo of 1.9% as 19% what was the point of saying " an even bigger increase in 2026" when it's clearly an  even smaller increase of only 1% in 2026?

What a nice surprise for the struggling working class after being pinned down and ripped off by the Cons for 14 years.Mortgage repayments Down.Economy on the way UP.At last the sunny uplands are in sight..Whoo Hoo..

The UK is at last on the road to recovery,,,Thanks to a good solid Team of Labour MPs ..Go for it .

You forgot the plane loads of criminals being deported gully. :0)

Sorry to out a dampener on things but these figures of 1.9% growth his year and 1% next year are lower overall  than the historical underlying annual growth rate. Not great news. Some say things can only get better...I hope so but economists are not so sure.

There is a pattern here with nonsense figures and porkies being claimed on here in recent days...the farcical West Mercia police numbers  claims, the deportations lies/ garbage data, claims shops are booming and now these income tax growth claims

https://news.sky.com/story/treasury-launches-inquiry-into-leak-of-growth-forecasts-13307918

\\A leak inquiry will take place following reports that economic growth forecasts have been reduced by the government's financial watchdog.

Bloomberg reported that the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) had reduced its growth forecasts in data sent to Chancellor Rachel Reeves last week.

Reduced growth could force the government to cut further spending or increase more taxes.//

Ooops.

Theres also been a pattern of posters throwing pebbles in the pond in the hope of creating ripples. Try some building blocks instead, you never know you may get some satisfaction.

"Roll up, roll up for Gully's and Rachel Reeves' MA Course in 'Deluded Economics' run by the Universities of Valetta and Prague and with an unemployment experience with Cheat'em House.'  To be funded by UK Farmers unfortunate pockets and Tractor Tax.

NMA at 5.49pm - indeed.

I think they know Labour are making an absolute clusterfuk of things so they seize upon anything but such is their blinkered view they embellish (fancy word for lie) things to try, and fail, to put this worst Government ever in a good light.

Nicebloke1 @ 18:03

I have satisfaction, proing gulliver wrong.

webbo3, you have that in common with gulliver, he likes proving himself wrong as well. At least, I think he likes it, he's always doing it.

^^ That can work both ways.
