Hi All ABers, I was asked a question the other day about Conditional Discharges and SIA Licenses.
I understand that the SIA authorise security staff by the issue of a suitable license.
I've been on the web site and it is very clear about the procedure when applicant's have convictions resulting in sentences for 1yr etc. However no mention is made of Discharges ( Conditional ) or otherwise.
Does this mean that the Discharge is not a conviction? Does it being Conditional ( 12 Months ) mean it is spent after the 12 months and is therefore discounted by the SIA?
I've Emailed the SIA webhelp but no reply yet.
The C/Discharge was at Crown Court for a minor False Accounting charge back in 2002.
Does this mean a conditional discharge -first offence that was given to me over 12 months ago will not effect my license application? Your advice would be appreciated.
