Driving without due care..help please?
6 Answers
Hi there i am hoping somebody can help me with my situation. 4 months ago i had a bump in my car involving me pulling out of a junction with bad visability of main road and a motorbike having to swerve to avoid me causing the driver to come off and hurt her knee. it was a country road, i was stationary and the motorbike was travelling approx 10mph. I called the police and after a statement the seargent said he would reccomend just a caution. however today i have received a letter offering a Driver Improvement course costing 155. This wold be the end of the matter. If turned down i would be in the magistrates for "driving without due care and attention or reasonsable consideration". This was a suprise after what the seargent had told me. Im an experienced car driver and by day drive a 32 tonne truck for 60hrs a week and have no penalty points but DO have a years drink driving ban on my licence from 5 years ago. Can anybody advise what i should do? thanks in advance!!
