Insurance firm claim for damages
3 Answers
My son (17) during a drunken weekend with friends took his friends mothers car (while drunk) and smashed it.
He has since received his punishment from court and us.
Today through the post he received a letter from "admiral Insurance" advising him to get his insurance firm to contact them so that they can arrange to re claim their expenses. The problem with this is that he does not have any insurance as he did not have a license.
My question is:- What do I do next - call them a tell them he had no insurance or do I just wait for them to possibly raise a court action aginst him.

Correct it would have been part of the court proceedings, so all concerned would have known that he had no insurance.
Thankfully there was no one else in the car.
I just didn't know what to do or what to expect.
I just hope he has learned from this very costly crime/mistake.
