I doubt whether the question of legality comes into it. To me it sounds much more like negligence on the part of the legal executive, but I don't know the facts (nor do I know what cads are!). One of your other posts says you've had advice from CAB, so I suggest you go back to them to see whether this can/should be taken further. If it is, on the face of it, negligence then it may be possible to take it through the complaints procedure for the solicitor firm involved & then to the Legal Complaints Service if necessary.
