If a complaint of assault is made to the Police and the complainant requests them to obtain CCTV footage (in this case from a Nightclub venue), in order to substantiate their allegation, are the Police obliged to obtain the relevant CCTV footage?

The police conduct the investigation in the way they best see fit, they don't generally take orders re how to do their job.
also the guy,who was assaulted, through his solicitor can obtain the footage as well
really? well when i explained that i was assaulted in the nicest way possible by the worlds most beatifull strippers at a lapdance club and that i needed the video as proof to show my mates,they refused on the spot!
