section 20 charge for abused wife

the woman has been suffering domestic vioilence throughout her 2 year marriage and also suffered the same from an ex husband for 10 years, they were having a row and before she knew what she'd done she had stabbeb him in the back with a small kitchen knife causing a punctured lung membrane , she was arrested and charged with section 20 released on bail for a month, her husband did not press charges or make a statement and wants to know if there is any way he can put put his side of the story foward telling them that he had provoked her and subject her to domestic violence throughtout the marriage. please help

So, who called the Police to make the complaint which had her arrested and subsequently charged?

her 18 year old son woke up with the fuss and rang them

So, her son phoned the Police and then his mother was arrested and subsequently charged with a serious offence?
Did any of you make written statements to the Police?

What I'm trying to get at is, who is the complainant?

the only person to have made a statement is the woman, the police/cps have made the charges
