Hi everybody! Once again, apologies that this isn't a question, but here's the thread that hopefully answers any Q's you've had about the progress of my friend Anne.
She had her final (hopefully, but of this round at least) dose of chemo this week & is feeling fairly good. A course of steroids is still alleviating some of the more unpleasant side-effects. Whether or not she has to restart the hormone treatment will be dependent on the result of the next scan - undated, but scheduled for the near future.
The best news is that the lymph cancer is showing signs of reduction, & the liver cancer also appears to be joining it in a retreat!
She has taken up the "Brillo pad" as her "at home" hairstyle, & uses the different wigs we chose together as the mood takes her she loves using different colours & styles from day to day.
She's really looking forward to the end of the month, as her partner has a friend with a yacht in the south of France & he's managed to borrow it for a week!
I told her last night that I'd be posting this & she asked me to pass on her immense gratitude for all your kind messages to which I will again add mine.
That really is good news - please pass on my very good wishes to her.The holiday will be wonderful for her.Regards Jean.
PS If this posts it means I amback from being banned !!
Lol @ Jean - snap - banned last weekend! Although I've not been around for a few days, I was wondering whether this screen-name was still persona non grata! :-)
That's good news!
There was a very good bit on This Morning a month or so ago about lovely natural looking wigs. It may still be on the website. It was Charles Worthington I think.
The make over ladies looked gorgeous.
Hi Lie-in Kink I've just caught up with this post and am so pleased to read your good news about Anne. I often wonder how she's getting on. I hope she has a lovely holiday - she deserves it! All the best to you Anne! judy x
