My son is being accused of ABH and Affrey as he was involved in a scuff up where people were being bottled etc. He is 17 and has not been in trouble before. He did admit to hitting someone in self defence and this has come up in court. He pleaded not guilty for both, as his solicitor advised him to do so. We have had 2 days of prosecution where 6 other gave evidence, 3 said he did and the other 3 saying he wasnt involved in that. We still have another 3 days to come where whis witnesses have their say. We have been told the worst that would come is he would go to Juevinial prison. What do you think will happen to him please?

Hi anna:

Please don't quote me but I'd be totally gobsmacked if he actually went to prison IF convicted. A fine would be more appropriate. There again, he may be found not guilty.

Keep your fingers crossed, mum.

there is no way he would go to prison. he will get a fine or at most a conditional discharge
