Can anyone clarify the gun laws for me? My property backs on to farm land where someone has been shooting wildlife - birds, foxes etc and I can't find out whether he should be shooting so close to houses and public rights of way. I know he uses a shotgun for the birds, but not sure about the foxes and I believe that the law is different for different types of gun. Any ideas?
Not a lawyer but I understand if the shooter owns the land or has owner's permission then they can shoot anywhere on it. This is subject to usual requirements about reckless endangerment of other people and property.
