My wife and i were arrested for a domestic incident, she was charged and i was let out. the problem is that i have lied to the police in my witness statement that would prove my wife has used self defence. I am planning on telling my solicitor this. Do you think her charges will get dropped?

You have committed a criminal offence by lying in your statement, it would come under an offence entitled 'pervert the course of justice',.
The sooner you say what you know the better. It would certainly give her more of a chance I'd have thought.
Surely your wife wont be jailed for 'breaching the peace' unless she's done someone some harm? What is she accused of......shouting at you?
