does anyone know how much you can claim for reasonably for being arrested and locked up for something you hadn't done on several occasions. altogether the hours come to just shy of 120 hours.

The police are entitled to arrest you and detain you if they have reasonable cause to believe that you have committed a crime.

If you feel that you are being victimised, then you need to contact a solicitor - no point posting in here...
I should think it'll be about £1million...............I suggest you get yourself a solicitor to confirm this.

not gonna get a solicitor has i have all the evidence in black and white safely here. even the cops statements to recordings that proved it wasnt me, but this was founded after my arrest and the person who pointed the finger at me was actualy the one who did the things. so if i got that all dated and off police i should do it with no solicitor.

In which case, you've got no chance whatsoever.

i believe you dont need a solicitor when they've admited wrong doing.

Wow! Best of luck to you, then...
if this were to go to court you'll be up against a specialist barrister. you'll be needing more than just luck.
I'm sure the OP will have taken silk himself before then...
I think the OP reckons a stiff sabre-rattling letter from him will cause Mr Plod to buckle and immediately offer him a briefcase full of non-sequential, unmarked £20 notes.........:o)

hey mate

seriously, you really do need to speak to a solicitor just to get it sorted out. At the end of the day no-one here has any definitive answers..go and speak to a solicitor and put your mind at rest. This is a serious matter which could affect your life.
It sounds like the police had reasonable evidence to detain you. The fact that they had been fed that evidence by a liar doesn't really help you.
