ABH on bus, 1st offence likely charge?

My cousin and a group of freinds have been arrested for abh on a man on the bus, the victim suffered a few bruises and a bloody nose, the police have got the jacket he wore on the day of the offence, the oyster card used to get on the bus, cctv and 1 witness being a relative of the victim, also he have been identified in the id parade. what is the posible outcome for him as it is his 1st offence and is aged 16. the solicitor says he is looking for Youth offending team, but what do you guys think?

Can you expand on why this 'gang' assaulted one male and the approx age of the victim.

Also, I take it your 'cousin' lied to the police during police interviews.

im not sure why the fight started, but the victim stood up first, so then meaning he was willing to fight, the appox age of viction is 25-30. and my cousin said no comment all the way through

Youths commonly receive a Reprimand and a referral to a Youth Offending Team program for first time offences (for core crime) and it difficult to give you guidance without knowing the motive for the assault. However, there are many aggravating features disclosed in this case (group against one, offence committed in public etc) and therefore charging the offenders to be dealt with by a court can not be discounted. (The solicitor should be aware of current disposal trends in your area as I note advice was given).

The cousin needs locking up along with his friends, this gangland culture has to stop somewhere and just because a man stood up in the bus for some reason or other, it doesnt mean they assault him, sad b*stards!!! Lock em up and beat them until they realise that what they done is wrong!

Oh well its a shame but my long, truth based and all factual comment seems to have been deleted maybe due to the harsh true reality which I very....boldly expressed my true feelings about.

All these group of people are and that is speaking highly of them following there low and actions which show them as the scum which they are making themselfs out to be.

I really hope for the victim's sake at the very least a custodial sentence of 6 months minium is imposed upon all those invovled.

In response to bob's humuours yet absolute without a doubt nothing further from the truth, well i am highly doubtful that upon getting that custodial sentence which he should get due to the facts and because of the way hes acted in the manner of "theres more of us than of you therefore were going to intend ABH upon you for that quite simple reason therefore those who are of the older age who are inmates in the y/o he is going to be sent to spend the time set in custody see that he is the idiotic wanna be that he really is and treat him as he is a lone person against a group
