I had a meeting with the investigating officer and he gave me three options on my case as an advice because I have shown him remorse on what had happened especially by been ornest with him on the case.

1. Face the trial and let the court decide on the matter.
2. Plead Guilty on my first appearence and the court will give a fine or a suspended sentence or community service on weekends because i am a bread winner and still paying my bond with a wife and three children.
3. Confront the complainent and ask for forgiveness.

option 2 - no one knows what your sentence will be until the magistrates or judge decide. the police can not be sure what sentence you receive.

option 3 - confront the person you assaulted? really? what country would this be in?

deals? you mean the automatic reduction in sentence for an early guilty plea? yes, that's 30% if you plead guilty at the earliest opportunity.

the police can not make a deal, it will be your solicitor or barrister that will do that when the case goes to court.
