hi, I am researching a character and need to know what the sentencing is likely to be for the following crime.

A 16 year old boy in a gang kills a dog with a knife and then precedes to seek out the owner of the dog and attack him. He does not use the knife in the attack but the other boy (aged 18) is quite badly injured.

Any help would be appreciated as the only information I can find relates to adult offenders.

thanks

if you are writing a book, it might be best to learn what "precedes" means :)
Average sentence in Essex in 2007 for a jeuvenile for GBH was 18 months excluding indeterminate sentences
