I have been caught drink driving whilst 6 months into a UK Probation Service Supervision order for assault and criminal damage. Am I obliged to inform my probation officer of this crime? Am I likely to be resentenced for all offences including the drink drive offence? What is the likely outcome. I am due in court in two weeks time, will the court be aware of my recent convictions (assault and criminal damage) for which I have received a 2 year order?

I was twice over the legal limit (UK). Thanks for your response. The reading was 85mg per 100ml breath sample. There aren't any mitigating circumstances that I can suggest other than long term alcohol issues which are already being addressed by current probation order.

Alcohol related course was not part of my original probation order, it was part requested part agreed with probation officer. My probation terms are good in that I have shown full attendance and progress (particularly where alcohol was a concern). I have been told by an apparently specialist motoring law solicitor that the magistrate is unlikely to take the previous convictions into account as they are technically unrelated. I appreciate your point re. alcohol though. He also informed that I needn't inform probation as they will become aware come court case? Is he correct?

If you are driving over the legal limit x2, then you are a danger to others on the road. You say you have issues issues with alcohol , fair enough , but with you around others may have issues just staying alive .Do not know the answer to your question -sorry.
Sorry mate, but you're a scumbag. I hope you do go down!!
