could someone give me some advice please?
1. what powers does having power of attorney give to a person?
2. what additional powers above those in q.1. does having enduring poa give?
3. what conditions have to be present to give someone epa?
4. house deeds - can name on deeds be altered by someone having epa?
5. no will has been made - what is the situation regarding epa, poa and next of kin?
6. am led to believe 35 day notice has to be given to relatives, what is situation if this has not been done?

1. He made sure her finances were in order for paying bills

3. Our mum had early-onset dementia
4. I would certainly hope not
5. Brother took mum to update her will in early stages
6 I've no idea about the 35 day notice.

1. they can act as if they were that person
2. not sure - don't think there is any extra EPA's are being phased out from about 5 years ago, but anyone that has one can still use it
3. no conditions at all as far as i know except the person giving it has to want to and has to have mental capacity. I am a perfectly healthy person, but ii could give my husband POA if i wanted
4. again, i'm only answering on behaf ofLPA's (which came in when epa's were discontinued) but i'm presuming if the person themselves could do it, then any poa could also do it
5. poas cease to be valid on the death of the person. If the person dosen't have mental capacity, they can't make a will anyway. I am unclear what you are asking - is the person dead?
6. when i did my LPA i could nominate people to be informed if it was activated, but i didn't HAVE to nominate anyone

Financial Affairs & Health & Welfare. 2 Separate documents. Both must be completed when the person is of "Sound Mind"
