Non married couple's rights
My friend has lived with her partner for about 14 years, they have a 9 year old daughter together but aren't married. They live in a nice house worth around £400k but her name isn't on the mortgage...just his.
Chances are, they will probably seperate and she seems to think that due to not being married and her name not being on the mortgage, she's not entitled to a penny out of the house when it's sold (it's currently on the market)
Would this be worth her persuing as she obviously needs to get somewhere else and furnish it etc.
Many thanks as usual
