will he go to prison?
My ex was done for ABH against me in 2009, it went to crown court and he received an 8 month sentence suspended for 24 months plus a tag and curfew! His suspended sentence ended mid Jan this year, 2 weeks after his suspended he beat me again although we were not together we have a young daughter, this time he has pleaded guilty to two accounts of assault and one of criminal damage, he is due to be sentenced tomorrow, what is his likely sentence?

I'm not sure thats enough really, and it'll be over very quickly. Perhaps a high level community order might be more tough for him

it is indeed true that Magistrates can only sentence up to six months but if they feel that 6 months is not enough it will be referred to judge and jury tomorrow and they will make recommendation for a longer sentence. They will take into account that the last sentence did not act as a deterrent. Get rid if you can.
