A neighbour in Salford did his own drop kerb, and was made to pay through the nose for retrospective permission.
I went through proper channels. I had to prove to Planning that we could turn a car round on the property, and Highways had to approve the sight lines coming out onto the road.
Salford insisted on douing the work, and the whole thing cost £1500 ten years ago.
Just up the road, people are parking on the wide pavement in front of their houses, bumping up over the kerb, and nobody wants to know.
There ain't no justice.
