I have heard through a friend that the Bailiffs have been around to a previous property me and my partner used to live at, asking the current tennant's to confirm who they are..
Am not sure if the bailiffs actually want to speak with me and my partner or not and this is causing quite a degree of worry..
I spoke to my local County Court who said that neither mine or my partners name appear on their systems, so i was wondering is there any other way of finding out if these bailiffs want to speak with us? If i have genuinely forgot to pay a debt before i left the house about 4 months ago i wanna put it right.. Please advise..
If i had the contact details for the bailiff i would contact them myself to see what it is about etc.. Surely as the bailiffs have been to my previous address and can see i dont live there anymore it would have to go back to the courts for them to trace me to my new address then start the court procedure again? Due to the fact that i was unaware of any proceedings in the first place and was not able to defend myself?
?? i think you are slightly obsessed here. If you don't have any outstanding bills, and the baliffs have gone to somewhere you don't even live, why are you so worried?
Bailiffs go to addresses they have been given......
When we moved into this address we had a couple of visits for people who had lived here *before* the people from whom we purchased...
How long had you lived at your address ?
Also, we had someone who persistently gave our address to the court when he was up before the beak......
