I bought a dishwasher from a good local shop about a month ago. I have used it regularly every two or three days but today i put it on super wash and when it was finished the machine still had about an inch of water in the bottom. I do not anticipate any trouble when i ring the shop in the morning, but i would like to know what my options are considering it is such a short time since i bought it. The shop removed the old dishwasher and plumbed in the new one. Thank you, Janet
Was it brand new? If it's new you are entitled to either a complete refund or replacement without questions. This is the law. Do not accept a repair on it
Do not start checking for anything either, you don't need to
However, if it is second hand I would need to look at your rights. Whilst your goods should be fit for the purpose I'm not sure if SOGA allows for replacement, refund or repair
I would suggest you first step is to read the trouble shooting guide in the handbook that came with the machine. Blockages etc are not manufacturing faults......
Thank you all for your prompt replies. I have done as Eccles suggested and read the handbook. It states that a small amount of water left in the bottom is normal and keeps the water seal lubricated. I checked again and and inch was a slight exaggeration, so I shall keep an eye on it for the next few washes and if still not happy will pop in and have a word with my supplier; i get so much help from this site so once again thank you all for taking the time x Janet
