Very easy if:

your husband is willing to gift you half of his property (which it is)

there is no mortgage involved

thank you dzug2, do you know where i would need to apply? is it land registry? many thanks.
Relevant forms can be obtained from
http://www.landreg.go...lications/?pubtype=16

You can apply to be either "Joint Tenants" whereby you both own (share) 100% of the property ( the remaining partner still owning 100% after the death of the other partner), or as "Tenants in Common" whereby you each own 50% of the property and can leave your half to your children if you so wish.
They will answer questions by e-mail if necessary (or at least they did a few years ago!)
Is the property registered at the Land Registry? If not, first registration would be needed. When did you buy?
