Homelessness and dogs

you can guess what the question is

Do the homeless get extra benefits for having pets?

I've no axe to grind, just trying to settle a discussion through somebody (hopefully) that's more knowledgeable than myself - and a link would be great

Er, do people WITH homes get benefits for pets? No.

Homeless people get less benefits if anything,

We see homeless people propped up against buildings with their dogs. The public will sometimes go up with some dog food, I think they get more attention than the homeless. Big set of doleful eyes, Win Win. Never seen a sick or sorry dog yet, and they always seem to be so well behaved. The dogs that is:o)
