Expenses or compensation?

I divorced two years ago. I got the house in Manchester ( where I currently reside) and my husband got a villa in Cyprus, some land and his pension.
The house had an outstanding mortgage of £25,000 - I took these payments over.
I recently heard from my husband's solicitor in Cyprus, they informed me that the court order in England wasn't recognised by Cypriot law and as my ex husband wanted to sell the land... He couldn't , unless I sign some documents at the Turkish embassy in London.
Whilst I want nothing to do with the Turkish property, I begrudge travelling from Manchester to sign the documents, as he has been so acrimonious and threatening.
His solicitor has written to me saying that I would be inbreach of the court order and that if we go back to court - the house would go back into joint names.
An offer of expenses for train and taxi has been made, plus loss of earnings if proven.
Whilst I have no qualms signing the documents, I wouldn't want to travel alone from Manchester to London- i would prefer to be accompanied by my husband (new husband). As for loss of earnings.. I would only be able to travel on my days off from work, so can I be compensated for my time?

Secondly, your divorce order whether it be after a final hearing or consent will have a clause "liberty to apply to put these terms into effect". Thus they can return it to Court.
I would suggest that you seek a day's net loss of earnings for having to take a day off from work together with your reasonable travel expenses. Unless there is a special reason why your new husband should attend (such as disability), you can't really expect them to pay for him - no reason why you can't ask though - just explain you are uncomfortable at travelling that distance alone. After all, if they had had their heads screwed on at the original hearing, you wouldn't be being put to this trouble.
Why not try and get an early appointment at the TE, sign the docs and then have a day out with your new fella? If you book the tickets in advance on an Apex fare, they shouldn't cost him too much.
