it would only be discrimanatory (as far as i am aware) if you were charging 'extra' to anyone not disabled or an oap.

you are charging the same rates to everyone but offering a discount to oaps.

Perhaps you ought to say 'specialising' in care for OAPs and the Disabled. Very competitive rates and willing to negotiate terms on a case by case basis.

The thing is I wont be offering the service to anyone else, just oap's and the disabled.

Im looking into doing full time private care and this is a way of testing the waters a little and researching the market so I want to limit myself to these two groups.

check with your local council but I don't think it comes under the acceptable exceptions or whatever they call it... could you not advertise as a home care service which would make it clear you are not just a cleaning/household service
and just indicate that you offer special rates to the disabled/senior citizens concessions are normally ok so long as you (in theory) offer your service to all

Dont think its discriminating, But I would suggest you change *reduced rates* to * very reasonable rates.* it does make it sound like there may be a discount to certain people.

ratter i checked with ad and they would run it, but ring gyour local paper ask to speak to telesales and run it past them, they can;t run it if it breaks the rules!
