Is there any way to find out about recent magistrate hearings? Thanks.

They are not available online and they are not held in the National Archives. Few courts hold their records within the court building. You will need to apply to the administration centre for the area in which the court sits. However, you will need to know some details of the case you are enquiring about (the court the case was heard, the name of the defendant, the date of the final hearing as a minimum). Even then the likelihood of you being able to secure the details you want is somewhat remote.
