Can my name be on two AST's?

I'm soon to be moving out of my privately rented property, into another. My Dad will be staying in the current house once I leave. The contract is until Jan 2013.

Is it lawful for me to have my name on two current AST agreements? (I realise I will be liable for anything my name is against)

Selling Souvenirs

I was just wondering if there is likely to be a jail sentence if you get charged with.. common assualt, assualt by beating and viloent disorder. the person does NOT have any pervious convitionsor or record.

Don't see why not you can rent a house for your family and rent a crash pad in the town where you work after all if you can pay the rent I should think you can have as many as you like

There is no difficulty in law in you signing multiple Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreements providing you are prepared to be responsible for the terms of each which you appear to accept. It would probably be a good idea to let the landlord or agent for each property knows your reasons for doing this.

I actually just want to leave my name on the current house for my landlords peace of mind. I know my Dad can afford the costs on his own but should anything happen that changed that then I know we have other means in which the rent can be covered.
