If a friend shows texts messages to others whom you dont give consent to what is the law?
What is the law if you send a text message to a person you do not like and they show everybody the text message without your consent.

Once they receive the text - it belongs to them and they can do with it what they please. I suppose it would be different if they got hold of your phone and started showing its content around, as it's not their property, but as it's been sent to their phone, it's their's to do with as they please.

i agree...once you send it to them its theirs to do whatever they choose
there is certainly no law regarding it.
i assume the messages were unpleasant and now you feel embarrassed?
they could perhaps argue that you are sending them messages without their consent...and if they are offensive, it is you that could be in trouble rather than them

You own the intellectual property in the text you created ... the copyright.
The recipient can't show it to others and claim to have written it themselves ... that would infringe your intellectual rights.
It's okay for them to show it to other people, as long as they make it clear that it was written by you.
