I can't believe someone has parked on my private drive! I returned home today to find a Range Rover actually on my drive, not blocking my drive but actually on my drive!!! It is a private house conversion with two parking spaces,

one is for my flat and the other space belongs to the first floor flat. I was forced to park on the street and what is really annoying is that neither the police nor the council can do anything about it as it is private property....am I missing something or can we all go around parking wherever we like now and to hell with the idiots that have paid through the nose for a parking space on their property??

hope you blocked them in
Park smack in front of em or drag it out of the way.
Block them in, then go to the pub.
If it is your land you are within your rights to block them in and there is nowt they can do about it.
Maybe it`s a visitor to the flat above. I`d go and knock on their door and ask if that`s the case and ask them to move it.
I think I would have gone a bit further than just blocking it in, but that's just me!
Also run a key down the side of it, and say some the local yobs must have done it.
the cheek of people never ceases to amaze me
Park in front of him and refuse to move until he pays a fine
Is it a visitor to the other flat? Have you checked? Asked them to move if it is?

If not, block them in.
oj, you can't do that. If you want to fine somebody for parking on your land you have to put signs up - and give them time to pay. The police would soon be interested if you tried to stop him driving off without paying up.
i would block them in and when they ask you to move your car tell them your spouse has gone abroad for the week and has taken the keys with them
Surprised if a suggestion of deliberate vandalism is appropriate. But yes, as others have said, check with the first floor residence first to ensure it's not to do with them, and if not, then block the drive with your vehicle telling the first floor residents that they can contact you if they need to get out.

Put a notice in your windscreen saying you are off for a fortnight's holiday. ;-)

By the way I have no in depth knowledge of the law but know what I think is right. So the opposite of the law then.
It would be a shame if ne'erdowells managed to steal a wheel off it meantime.
Range Rover tyres aint half expensive, if you see what I mean.
It would be a shame if a potato was to accidentally become wedged up his exhaust
and little stones do seem to get in the air valves.
Phone the police and tell them somebody has abandoned a car on your property.
paddywak, all the police will do is tell him to contact the council
Phone a recovery firm, then leave a note on the car, stating somebody's abandoned a car on your property, and they've got 2 hours to remove it.
Neither the council nor the police will be interested if the car`s on private property.
