Not sure who to ask..i,ve worked in a hotel for 5 years..Signed a contract to work 45 hours..but usually do 49+ Now ive been told i have to work a minimum of 48.i hav,nt signed a waver ..is there a legal min/max hours i can be made to work?

The working time regulations 1998 require a maximum week of 48 hours averaged over a 17-week period, which you can opt out of and opt back in. This does not apply to some night workers and some other categories of workers. If you believe you will be adversely affected by this arrangement talk to your employers.
