beer garden noise

I understood that Sunday had to be kept quiet but the pub next door to me is having football outdoors with a PA system and other jollifications. they have a music licence which requires them to keep all doors and windows closed when playing music, no grey areas there. So how come they can have football blaring out in their beer garden which is seperated from my property only by a wall. What time does this noise have to end and can they make a noise at all on sundays?

I would be quite happy for these people to have football on their loud speakers, or whatever they are, inside their pub. I could then decide if I wanted to listen to it or not. Trouble is it is in their garden which joins on to my garden and they say they can do as they like.they didn't get planning permission to have a beer garden, the council has told me they didn't need it

you don't call the police, you call environmental health. keep a log of all noise and persistently claim. is the only way to make things happen. the police will be too busy to attend a premises for noise.

thanks all, I wish it was all over, unfortunately we are talking Sky Sports here and the Olympics are coming. that means we could have a garden full of drunks all summer. If it's anything like the world Cup was might as well emigrate.
