i have recently lost me job and can not afford to pay agreed maintenance, can my new partner be made to pay this??

They don't anymore.
There's a thread on here somewhere about this. Barmaid was asked for her details and she refused to give them. I'll see if I can find it.

Does the same apply if CSA are no involved?
If this is a private agreement between you and the child's other parent then no rules apply at all, do they?

Besides which, if you have money coming into the house surely you would want to try to pay something?
I do pay something, the courts are taking more than half my jobseekers allowance at present.
