ok i have worked for the same place for 10 years now. I have been comin in 30 mins late for 6 years because my kids. school does open till 7. and it has been this way. and now they are trying to make me change shifts because they dont like that im late. but they have let be do it. ok my questions is can they make me go to a diff shift? i can not work another shift i have no one to watch my kids.

Yes, they can
If you are 'always late' they are not trying to make you work a different shift, they want you to work the hours set out for you when you were employed.
However, are they saying you must not be late or lose your job?
With whom did you have the agreement to come in 30 mins late everyday?
The age of your children will also be relevant to you. Do you have any under 7?

School opens at 7? That's very early, even for a school with a breakfast club

your employer can change your shifts and / or alter your hours as long as they give you the required notice . You can either accept it or leave.
Sorry but that is how things are now. They would have no problem finding someone to replace you
