My daughter is doing her childminding course, obviously she has to have a CRB check, as does her husband. Does anyone know whether I or my husband would need to have one, for the odd times when she might come over to us with the little girl she will be minding? The little girl is the baby of my daughter's neighbour, who knows us and will always be happy for her to be in our company along with our grandsons, but I don't want to do anything "wrong"

I can state quite categorically you will not need a CRB check
UNLESS you live in her house
Imagine if you did have to have one. That means anyone she visits, where ever, when ever would also need one
She cannot ever leave the child alone with you though, and dont be tempted to offer to do it
