If some makes a racial remark to another person would a sexual remark about someone be classed under the same section of law.

If this is just something that is being said it will be almost impossible to prove so there is very little that can be done.

Reason why I asked was , there is a article about some football player racially abusing a black ball boy and the police are involved to look into the report.
So wouldn't then the police do the same if it was someone making a complaint about being abused about there sex or sexuality?

If a discriminatory law exists..then I'd say yes
In the case of the footballer there were witnesses and video evidence, without that sort of proof there is little you can do.
We need a lot more information, where there any witnesses and will they back you up ? If it is just one persons word against another then just forget it.
