i made an order with studio 24 and was given a date for delivery in 2nd November. i received email today saying that order will not be delivered before 7th dec which is too late. i have tried to cancel but they keep emailing me saying i cant cancel the order and that i will need to return it. I have also told that i wish to stop my account with them as this is not the first problem with this outfit. I rung to speak to someone but they were less than useless.
What are my rights as to cancelling ?
TIA

If the goods have not been personalised in any way you have the right to cancel before delivery; refuse to accept the delivery; return the item after delivery under the Direct Selling Regs.

thanks hc
As hc says you should rely upon the The Consumer Protection (distance selling) regulations 2000, study these regulations and if they are appropriate remind the supplier of their responsibilities.
They have a maximum of 30 days to deliver, if a delivery date is not provided, but it has and the 2 Nov was acceptable and the 7 Dec is not; cancel the contract in a permanent form under the DSR 2000, if they were found to be appropriate.
