No response being received then you'll have to do it.Go to your local county court and talk to the staff there. They'll help you to fill out the claim form, and generally. They are there to help claimants in such cases. The purpose of the first letter is to give the company a last chance to pay; it may get to someone in authority who will stop the trouble before it starts, by settling; to avoid the trouble and delay in going to court, and to show that you did your best to avoid action (more important where the sums involved are such that the proceedings incur lots of costs, some of which might not be allowed to the winner because he didn't give the other side a chance to avoid litigation by settling the claim, but rushed straight on)
