Hi AB'S... can anyone tell me what language aTRUE Israeli person speaks?..... (sorry if I have offended anyone).... I know 'english' (obvs|) but what is their language called... and how woulld I find someone to teach me? thanks

The official language is, I think, Hebrew. But half the population are Palestinians and thus speak Arabic. Very many of the Jewish people who live there are American emigrées and thus speak English. They also have many people from Eastern Europe and the former Soviet states.

Google 'Hebrew teacher, Manchester' or whatever city you're in and you should find one.

Both Arabic and Hebrew are the official languages of Isreal.

A native born Israeli jew is called a Sabra. They grow up speaking Hebrew naturally as (most of) their parents and all their schoolfellows and colleagues all speak Hebrew the way I speak English. The schools for Jewish people emigrating to Israel are called Ulpan. See if you can do an Internet search for Ulpan in your area.
