Talking about housework (is it allowed on CB??) friends had different answers. Don't suppose it really matters but just wondered what you do first.

Dust, then hoover.
Dust, then Hoover (that's if the cleaner doesn't show up)
dusting first, any dust and crumbs that drop on to the floor can be hoovered
Dust first, then hoover.
Hang on, I'll ask the cleaner once she's finished polishing the brasses and emptying the bed pans...

It depends on how good/clean your vacuum filters are. With a well looked after modern vac you should be able to dust first safe in he knowledge that your vacuum cleaner won't be blowing dust back out again. Saying that I still tend to vac first.
Neither if I can avoid it.
if i dusted first i wouldn't be able to find the hoover
I hate dusting, its my pet hate, I always admired Quentin Crewe who said he never dusted. I hoover then steam clean the floors then if I have any energy left I dust.
dust with the hoover.
Dettol dusting on wooden bits, then hoover.....
I'm not sure, hang on, I'll ask the OH!
