Assault By Beating

I am being charged for assault by beating of my gf while drunk. I pleaded guilty on my first hearing, first time offence and i feel remorseful, not to mention depressed and suicidal at times. We live in the same house so I don't know the chances of me being allowed back in house.

I am currently an undergrad student in my second year of studies.

What is the likely sentence, how long would it stay in my record and can i get a good job after this?

this will always be "on your record", although depending on the sentence, you wont have to declare it after a period of time when applying for jobs (unless the job requires the equivalent of an enhanced CRB check, in which case you will always have to declare it) What field are you in?

What are you charged with ? I mean the offence codes. GBH section 20 ?
This will be on your record for life , it will show in a CRB check. You can forget any hope of a job with children or vulnerable adults anything that needs a CRB check in fact.
