Charged Wrong Price What Can They Do About It
Hi I recently ordered something and it was deliveted and invoiced and the invoice has been paid. However on the website and on the invoice they got the price wrong by a factor of ten. Obviously it would be very nice to get something for one tenth of the normal price but I would have ordered it anyway even at ten times the price. Leaving morals aside, now it's been received and paid for, could they make me pay the extra? To complicate matters i have a regular order for other stuff on the website three times a week so have an account with a direct debit. Could they just take extra on the dd when they realise?

Call them or email them pointing out their mistake. They'll probably be very grateful and impressed with your honesty. You never know, they may well tell you that in this instance you can keep the goods. Even if they don't and they ask you for the extra money, you haven't really lost anything - and you'll feel a whole lot better by being completely honest.

I agree with MichaelZZ. Although tell them that you don't want the item if you have to pay as much as it should of been and that if they pay to have it sent back then you will send it back. That way you are being honest and you will probably be told to keep the item for the price you originally paid.
If a mistake has occurred the contract may be void at common law even where it is valid at law it may be voidable in equity on the grounds of the mistake, you may be interested in Webster v Cecil 1861, where the incorrect price was given.
You are aware an error has occurred with a supplier whom you expect to be permanent, I suggest you inform them of their error at the highest level possible, not expecting any thanks for your honesty and trouble, and there may also be VAT complications. They may just take by DD the correct amount and provide you with correct documentation; even if you do not notify them they will hopefully discover their error on audit.

is it not probable that other clients have ordered the same thing? if it was wrongly advertised surely they would have realised by now, can't imagine you're their only purchaser for it if it is a bargain.
tesco/asda all have to take the hit when they get it wrong, even when it gets pushed on twitter etc and people rush to grab the item cheap.
